Billing Rules option:

A new option under Settings/Customize Notes entitled Show expired billing rules has been added. If unticked, any Billing Rules that have been exceeded will no longer be displayed in the Header section.

Billing Rules Header information:

If a Policy Holder (other than the patient) exists on a client's record, it will now be displayed the Client's Header information next to the relevant Payor.

Client Search:

While on the Client Listing screen, under Actions, it is now possible to Find client by SSN or Find client by SIN, to locate a specfic patient.

Shortcut Keys:

Two new shortcuts keys have been added to the Client Listing, Client Detail and most Activity screens. Pressing F7 now launches the Activities by Progress Note listing for the current client, F8 launches the Activities by Document listing.

Contact Log Security:

In the User detail setup, a new Self Contact-Log tick box has been added. If seleted, that user will only be able see notes either written by them or assigned to themselves.

User Security:

A new tick-box has been added to each User account and is entitled Force password change on next login. If selected, the user will be forced the change their password next time they login, and, once they've done so, the option will be automatically unticked.

Document Security:

A new tick box option has been added to each Document Type entited All can view. If selected, all documents that belong to this Document Type will be viewable to ALL users regardless of their security settings.

Zones and Contacts:

If Zones have been enabled (for businesses running across multiple geographic zones), Payors, Physicians, Other Contacts and Providers can now be filtered by Zone from their respective Listing screens.

Batch Payment handling:

When users attempt to delete an entire batch payment, the user will now be given an addional warning before proceeding.

Reporting

Revenue Report:

A bug that prevented the summary page of this report from being printed properly with headers and correct page breaks has been corrected.

Patient Portal

Online Payment Processing:

The Client Portal can now accept and process patient Credit Card payments online!

Location Description:

It is now possible to setup customized location descriptions to appear on the Client Portal. If you do not want the default location name, address and contact information to appear on the Client Portal, then a customized listing can be added under each Office under Housekeeping, Contacts, Offices and then visting and modifying he Portal tab for each location.

US Billing Specific

EDI835 Processing enhancements:

The EDI835 Processing functon is now equipped to handle multiple payments against once CPT code.

For example, if 4 units of 97110 has been submitted for payment, and each unit is being paid separately on the EDI835, this will be now be recorded properly by Practice Perfect instead of being treated as a repeat (and discarded) payment.

The processing time for ED835's has also been somewhat reduced.

Web Reports:

The Unbilled Services Report has been added to the web version of Practice Perfect.

Documents and the Client Portal:

The ability to send Documents and Daily Notes to the client portal for patient retrieval has been added to the web version of Practice Perfect, and functions in the same manner as the desktop version.

Recent Windows Update issue:

A recent Windows update (Jan 2023) was causing Practice Perfect NOT to launch on some Desktop computers. This has been resolved with this update.
