General & Setup

Workstation License counting:

Practice Perfect is licensed based on the number of concurrent users required - that is the number of users that are signed in simultaneously on both the Desktop and Web applications. Until recently, an accurate count of those using the web version was largely ignored since it could not be accurately counted.

One of the issues involved users that simply disconnected, turned off their devices or just existed out of their web browser without actually logging off of Practice Perfect - this closeout method did NOT free up that license. This release corrects that issue.

A new 'heartbeat' is now sent from the Practice Perfect server to each connected device frequently - and if that heartbeat is not confirmed, we know that device is now offline - and the license will now be released automatically.

Also, unless otherwise specified in the Settings, Other Settings, Security tab in the Auto Logout after field, all web users will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.

General & Setup

Direct Texting to Clients & Providers:

For those signed-up with The Wired Client, you can now directly text both your Clients and Providers right from within Practice Perfect.

To do so, bring up either the specific Client detail or Provider detail and then click on the new Texting icon from the toolbar. You will be asked to enter and send the text message. The reponses, if any, will come into The Wired Client, as usual.
