About This Release

We are pleased to announce the official release of Practice Perfect EMR + Management Software Version 2.0.0.485. Please review the attached list of new features & benefits carefully.

Invoices, Receipts and Clinical Documents:

There was an issue with long clinic names not rolling over onto second lines where appropriate, this has been corrected.

A new Comment field has been added to the Payment Info tab, where credit card information is stored, in the client records.

Inventory adjustments will now allow access to all fee codes/items, not just those attached to a specific location, based on the user login.

A new table called Zones has been added to the application and each Location can now be assigned to a Zone. This will be used for reporting options in an upcoming release allowing the printing of reports for specific group, or Zone, of clinics.

A bug existed in which the blue header notes for a Physician were not refreshed if a different Physician was selected from the drop-down list within the blue header. This has been corrected.

A new tick box attached to each User cannow be used to Disallow remote access, meaning that this user will not be able to access Practice Perfect from the web application.

NEW Client Statements:

Our first release of a new format of Client Statements is now available for trial! The old statements remain in place, as well. To try out these new statements, use the New Statement   icon from the toolbar. Many changes are already underway for these new statements, as well.

Activities by Service:

The F4 key was only showing 3 modifiers, not 4, for any given charge - this has been corrected (US only).

The F4 shortcut key is also now listed at the bottom of this activity screen.

Tag for Resubmission:

This function would produce an error if the Resubmisson Code was longer than two characters, this has been corrected.

Providers and Modifiers (US Only);

Modifers 1, 2, 3 and 4 fields have been added to the Provider record. Any Modifiers entered here will override modifier settings made elsewhere, specifically in the Payor Rates under each Fee Code.

Customized and MS-Word Documents:

Guardian Last Name and Guardian First name have been added as exportable fields to both the MS-Word and Custom documents.

A bug was fixed in which the Client Name was shown under Nature of Symptom when printing the Body Part.

If a field was setup with a default value and that field was edited to be blank, the default value would re-appear. This has been corrected.

Daily Notes, Canned and Customized Documents:

The Physician on-file can now be changed for ANY of these documents unless it has been Completed/Signed. The drop-down is located near the top of each document.

Daily Note printing:

If Include Location Note is selected during Daily Note printing, the Location Code will now be printed next to each service line instead of within the header of the note, since the Location Code may not apply to all dates on the report.

This report did not include Customized Documents if the Non-Scanned/Imported option was selected, this has been corrected.

Client Listing:

The Client Listing export now includes the Primary and Secondary payors for the current incident.

This report will now show the Invoice # related to each service, assuming the charge was invoiced.

Office Day-at-Glance Report:

This report was only printing to the end of the last filled appointment of the day, even if there were additional empty time slots. This has been corrected and the full day will be shown, full or empty.

A bug that showed a blank report when no criteria were selected has been corrected.

The summary of this report now includes Visits & Quantities along with a summary by Fee Type.

Printing this report using the Individually option on Payors and Providers was producing an error, this has been corrected.

Treatment Statistics Report:

A new option to Show treatment cost details has been added to this report. If selected, the breakdown of client, payor and adjustment charges will be included under each client.

A new option entitled Show clients with $0 balance only has been added to this report. If selected, only clients with a zero balance will be included on the report.

Appointment Booking:

When setting up Fees, two new fields have been added entitled Post Treatment Duration and Post Treatment Description. These can be used to specify the amount of time, and a description, that will now automatically appear after an appointment for when that fee code is booked, eg; 'cleanup' time of 15 minutes.

Scheduler Groupings:

Groups of Providers can now be created and displayed on the screen at the same time - eg; all Physios, Jim & Bob are always together, the Rehab team. Under Scheduled ProvidersGroups can be setup and Group Members (Providers), attached. Providers can belong to several groups.

When in the Scheduler, you can then select which Group you wish to see in the same manner what you would select Rooms and Equipment.

Find Appointments:

A new column has been added to the Find Appointments search to indicate if an appointment was made using the Web, indicating  that it was self-booked by the client.

Appointment Booking:

Under Settings, Customize Accounting the ability to Force fee code duration has been added. If selected, an appointment will automatically increase to the Duration specified for the Fee Code attached to that appointment meaning that a 'too short for this fee code' appointment cannot be booked.

A bug existed in which Fee Codes were disappearing from appointment cells if the Enforce fee code duration was turned OFF - this has been corrected.

Issues with this view not displaying appointments correctly have been corrected.

The full Client record can now be viewed, added and modified in the web application including all client-related tabs and sub-tabs!

Selecting different Incidents during Daily Note Entry was causing display issues, this has been corrected.

The auto-charge feature, for Fee Codes attached to appointments, was not working on the web application - this has been corrected.

Scheduler:

When an appointment was Arrived or Completed, the panel was not being refreshed - and the Charge  icon may not have been displayed. This has been corrected.

Client Self-Booking:

When clients book their own appointments, they can now enter a note that will show up on the Scheduler as an Appointment Note and can be seen by hovering over the Note  icon.

Portal Login:

When clients login in to the web portal, they can now use any of their Phone Numbers, Home, Work or Other.

When a client selects a Provider, the text from the Provider, Web Information tab will now be displayed under the Provider's name which can contain a biography, provider info, etc.

The requirement for the clinic to confirm client-booked appointments can now be disabled. If disabled, the appointment would automatically be booked, no interim confirmation is required. Confirmation can be turned off under Settings, Customize Scheduler, Web and by unticking Confirmation required.

Appointments booked by clients via the web portal will now show with a slightly different Pending  icon so the user will be aware that the appointment was client-booked.

The confirmation at the end of booking will now contain the appointment Day-of-the-Week and clinic physical address.

The mandatory HCAI October 1st, 2017 3.18 toolkit update is included in this release, required for the submisson of all OCF electronic documents.

OCF18/23 documents can now be copied or transferred between client incidents.

A new field entitled Goods and Services explanation has been added to the OCF18. This field was not being shown on the printed document, this has been corrected.

As per Telus, users must now accept new Terms & Conditions prior to any submission. This new dialogue has been added.

HCFA/eHCFA Claim Forms:

If the Policy Holder is set to "Other" and the Relationship to the client is set to "Parent" then HCFA Box 6 will be set to "Child".

HCFA/eHCFA Claim Forms:

Several date field formats have been adjusted, as follows: Box 3, 9b, 11a and 24a are now "mm dd yyyy". Box 12 and 31 are now "mm/dd/yy". Box 14 and 15 are now "mm dd yy". Box 19 will be set to "mm/dd/yy" if it is not set as a Payor Prerference. Box 16 and Box 18 are no longer used on the claim form.

A bug that shows unrelated Diagnostic Codes as part of claim information has been corrected.

If the user selected the Previous Day  icon to view a previous note during new note entry, the note currently being entered on would not be stored and entry would be lost - this has been corrected.

During Practice Perfect update installation, previous Telus toolkit install files will now be removed.
