About This Release

We are pleased to announce the official release of Practice Perfect EMR + Management Software Version 2.0 R455. Please review the attached list of new features & benefits carefully.

Lower-case letters will no longer be permitted in Health # field to help prevent Version Code issues.

Setting up a scheduler End Time that is prior to a Start Time will no longer be permitted.

Email Appointment Notifications:

The Email Appointment Notification icon on each scheduler cell was disappearing with even the simplest appointment edit - this has been corrected and now only a date, time or provider change will cause the icon to no longer appear.

 

Canadian Billing Specific

HCAI Providers:

"Psychotherapist, Regulated" has been added as a new HCAI provider type.

Customized Documents:

A bug in version R454 caused Birthdate and Age to no longer show on customized documents - this has been corrected.

US Billing Specific

eHCFA 2014 Invoice Style:

A small bug in which an extra carriage-return was contained in the Payor's address has been corrected - this had been detected by a few clearinghouses.

Canned-Documents:

The Time In and Time Out fields on these reports were reflecting the scheduled times and not the actual check-in and check-out times, this has been corrected.

General & Setup

OVERALL data entry:

When your cursor lands on a field, Practice Perfect will no longer automatically highlight that entire field but simply place the cursor within the field instead. This was causing fields to accidentally be erased and this change will alleviate this issue.

User Login/Logoff Tracking:

Practice Perfect will now keep a running log of when users login and logout. This option is set to ON by default but can be turned off under Settings, Other Settings, Security by unticking Track User Login/Logout. There is no report to show this info as of yet it but it can be accessed by our support department at your request.

User Login/Logoff Tracking:

User login/logoff times will now reflect their local workstation time and not the server time, if different.

Web Version

User Login Security:

The # of failed attempts before a user can no longer access Practice Perfect from the web can now be set under Settings, Other Settings, Security in the # of web logins before account is locked field. The default is 3. To unlock a user account, go into Housekeeping, Security, Users, select the user in-question and click on the Unlock button.

New 'Tags' in Quick Phrases:

A series of new tags has been implemented in the Quick Phrases. If you add these tags to your Quick Phrases, when the phrase is added to the document, the relevant information, as indicated below, will appear automatically:

%fname%            Client's First Name
%gender%           Client's Pronoun, in lower case, "he or she"
%genderc%         Client's Pronoun, in upper case, "He or She"
%genown%         Client's Possesive in lower case, "his" or "her"
%genownc%        Client's Possesive in upper case, "His" or "Her"
