Practice Perfect paid a visit to the ASHA Connect 2019 conference in Chicago from July 19 to 21 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The ASHA Connect conference does just that—it connects SLP providers from schools, hospitals, and private practices all under one roof.
Over the course of the conference, attendees had an opportunity to listen to lectures on subjects ranging from starting and running your private practice to promoting positive behaviour in school-age children. No matter which setting practitioners find themselves providing SLP treatments, there was a session there that appealed to them.
When we weren’t at in the exhibit hall or enjoying the lovely Hyatt Regency, we were out on the town enjoying some of the best that Chicago had to offer. Some of our excursions included stepping out for deep dish pizza from Uno, the Chicago River Boat Architecture Tour, and a low-key evening at Navy Pier.
All said, Chicago is truly a gem, and it won’t be long before we return–trade show or no trade show.
