The next evolution of Practice Perfect EMR begins now
Dear Practice Perfect EMR user,
I do have some exciting news that I wanted to share with all of you.
As I’m sure most of you are aware, Practice Perfect EMR has never been ‘fully-web’. We’ve always been very dependent upon Microsoft Windows and have developed a pretty robust web application that ties into our desktop offering, but that application does not cover all the bases.
I’m happy to announce that we are now immersed in to a total re-development of Practice Perfect in a fully-web environment.
Let me put some concerns to rest before I delve deeper:
1. The current Windows/Desktop/Web environments are not being retired for the foreseeable future, new development & support will continue, nothing has changed.
2. When the new fully-web application does become available and you choose to make the move, YES, all of your existing data will be transferred.
3. We are not planning any substantive price changes as a result of this new development.
Why are we doing this? For several reasons:
· The world has gone web – From accounting to word processing, everything is now online. Our web concerns to-date have been the security implications, especially when dealing with healthcare information, but that is now addressable with the proper precautions in place.
· The number of Mac and tablet users who cannot currently use the desktop version of Practice Perfect has increased dramatically over the past few years. A fully-web solution is the only option for our Mac and tablet friends.
· Windows is becoming increasingly picky about upgrade downloads when it comes to virus protection. This is making our upgrade process for desktop users more complex. Moving to the web avoids this issue entirely.
Also…
We’ve also been keeping a watchful eye on the EMR marketplace and will be incorporating many new features to actually leapfrog us ahead of our competitors, functions that can only be accomplished by being fully web-based. Key changes we are building into our new offering include:
· More concise data entry, fewer screens and a more intuitive flow
· Enhanced, yet easier-to-use eligibility and authorization tracking with definable warnings
· Customizable intake forms on the client portal feeding directly into creating new client records along with automated processes for paperwork
· Enhanced task management and automated processes across-the-board
· Customizable dashboards based on the needs of owners, administrators and clinicians
· AI driven business intelligence, billing and collections
· Active reports! What does this mean? Being able to click directly within any produced report and dig deeper
What is timing on all of this? Well, as you can imagine, this is a massive task. We are anticipating limited trials in early 2027.
We will keep you posted on our progress via our monthly newsletter.
