PenPal AI: Dictation Coming to Desktop


With the release of R564, PenPal AI was added to the desktop version of Practice Perfect. It has nearly all of the features available on the web version, with the exception of dictation–but that’s set to change in early September when we release our next build.


Our beta test of PenPal AI will continue throughout the fall so if you haven’t already, please be sure to register here.

Wired Client: More Updates on the Horizon


Over the next month, we’ll be rolling out a couple changes to Wired Client aimed at enhancing its security measures, as well as the addition of a much-requested feature.


Enhancing Security


If you’ve logged into Wired Client recently, you may have noticed a warning message prompting you to update your contact information in your Staff profile. The reason for this is because next month we will be introducing two-factor authentication (2FA) to the system.


Due to the sensitive nature of the information in Wired Client, we’re taking steps to ensure that there’s an added layer of security for your data. And while it will initially be an optional feature, the intention is to make it a mandatory one for all users. So please take this opportunity to update your profile with your most up-to-date contact information to avoid any potential issues during its rollout.

Leveraging Your Clinic Phone # for SMS


Since launch, clients have been asking us if it’s possible to use their clinic phone number for texting, and until recently, it wasn’t. But our carrier partner has added an option where they can port the SMS capabilities for a phone number into our system, without impacting your voice line.


The cost for this feature is only $5 per month. We do have to run a brief check to ensure the number is portable, but in most cases, the transfer can be completed in 2-3 business days.
