The Practice Perfect Press: July ’26

Welcome to the July edition of our monthly e-newsletter! In this issue we give you an update on PenPal AI, share a snippet from our recent webinar, invite you to a seminar on succession planning, and a reminder about a key part of your Wired Client setup. Read on below!

Our Latest Release

Practice Perfect’s latest official release is Version R669. For more information about the updates and changes included in this release, click here.

PenPal AI: The Latest Updates to Our Medical Scribe

PenPal AI continues to receive a raft of updates, the majority of which are driven by the feedback received from our first set of users. Some of our most recent changes include:

  • Point Form Output: When writing SOAP notes, many practitioners prefer to format them in point form rather than paragraphs, which is how PenPal currently creates notes. But we’re adding an option that will allow users to choose to create the note in point form instead. This feature will be available in our next release.
  • Multi-language Support: We’re continuing to make tweaks to PenPal’s multi-language support, with Spanish speaking users reporting success with dictating in Spanish and the resulting output being in Spanish, as well. This is available today.
  • Transcript Retention: Previously when you added to a note using PenPal, the original transcript would be overwritten. We’ve made a change that will retain the original transcript, allowing you to make additional edits to it, or simply review what was previously recorded. This is available today.

We’re aiming to wrap up our trial this fall, so if you haven’t already, there’s still time to test out this new service free of charge. For more information, contact us today.

Real-time Patient Eligibility and Insurance Verification by OneBody

In this month’s Lunch and Learn, we featured a guest from One Body, Practice Perfect’s patient eligibility and insurance verification partner. Eva Hibnick, Founder and CEO of One Body, explained the origin of her company, and shared a few reasons about how it’s saving clinics time, and making things easier on their patients.

One of the best parts about this integration is that if you’re already running one of our latest releases, then you can simply follow the steps here to begin checking patient coverage today. And in our most recent release, completed eligibility checks are automatically saved to the Activities by Document section of the client profile.

Wired Client Reminder: Upload Your Providers from within Practice Perfect

Since the majority of Practice Perfect users are running Wired Client, we wanted to take a moment to remind you that Providers should be uploaded from Practice Perfect, rather than created in Wired Client. While this is something that’s typically covered during training, this helpful tip can sometimes get lost in the shuffle.

Here’s why it’s important:

  • Uploading Providers from Practice Perfect ensures their name can be included in messages (e.g. Your next appointment with Susan is…). If the provider is not uploaded, that token will be blank.
  • It keeps their schedule in Practice Perfect in sync with Wired Client, should you ever need to send a blast to their patients on a sick day.
  • If a Provider is uploaded to Wired Client but later deleted, it can result in an error message in Practice Perfect, and prevent the data in Practice Perfect from being sent to Wired Client.

As a reminder, to upload a Provider, simply go to Housekeeping>Contacts>Providers, enter their profile, ensure they have a Work Email, and press the Wired Client icon to upload them–and that’s it!

If you have any questions, or if you need a hand with this, contact support today.
