Welcome to the April edition of our monthly e-newsletter! In this issue we share an update about our integrated faxing service, a few new Wired Client features, and a note about the PenPal AI trial.

Receive faxes directly in your EMR
We have some very exciting news to share with you! Practice Perfect is now offering inbound faxing. You can finally ditch your tired old fax machine and bring your faxing routine up to the times.
Here are a few key facts about this brand new service:
– Faxes can be received in one of three ways; imported directly into Practice Perfect, sent to email address(es) of your choice, or both.
– We can either port your existing fax line over to our carrier, or provide a brand new local area code fax number for you.
– If we provide the fax number, you can begin receiving faxes within 1 business day.
– If we port an existing number over, there is a wait time of approximately 2-3 weeks.
– You will continue to receive faxes the same way you currently do until the porting is complete. There is a one time fee of $50 to port the number to our carrier.
– The cost for this service is $10 per month to host the number, and $0.07 per page received.

Next month we are releasing a few new features in Wired Client that are sure to help you stay connected with your clients and staff alike.
To start, we are adding a secondary mobile number to Client Profiles in Wired Client. We think that this will be helpful in situations where you need more than one person to receive an appointment reminder, such as another parent or a caregiver. They can receive a carbon copy of the original message, ensuring that everyone is on the same page about the upcoming appointment.
On the subject of appointment reminders, we are increasing the maximum number of hours that can be entered in the ‘# of Hours Before Next Appointment’ Trigger Type to 24 hours.
Now for the providers, we are adding an option that will send a text message to their personal device when a patient arrives at the clinic. They won’t have to wait around and wonder if a patient showed up for their appointment–they’ll be notified as soon as the appointment status is switched to ‘Arrived’ so that they can come on out and greet them.
And last but certainly not least, providers can automatically receive a text when a patient cancels or rebooks, along with the reason for the cancellation. As an added bonus, clinics can use the Last Visit Date/Cancellation Without Rebook Event to automatically send the patient a message if they don’t schedule a future appointment.
